How do I get there?
The Capitol South Metro Station (on the Blue and Orange Lines) is the closest Metro stop, although the Union Station Metro (on the Red Line) is also very close. We will be the big crowd located on the West Lawn of the Capitol. Print out directions and plan to be there a little bit early to make sure that you don’t miss the start of the rally.
What should I bring?
-Family and friends
-Pretty much anything that will enhance your rally experience that cannot be considered dangerous in any way (no weapons, contraband, sharp objects)
What is the schedule?
The event will kick off with an inter-faith service at 1:30 being led by the Shalom Center of PA. We will be rallying on the West Lawn of the Capitol between 2 PM and 3:30 PM. At 3:30, we will be leaving for our march. We have a predetermined route that will take us to the ANGA and API buildings for some peaceful demonstrations. The march will end at Franklin Square, where people will be able to make their way back to their buses, cars, Metro stops, etc.
